The Theory Test can be taken at a number of local centres. For details and booking you can contact the Driving Standards Agency - www.dsa.gov.uk
The hazard perception test is also a computer based test where you will be shown 14 video clips, each lasting about 1 minute. You will be shown a sample clip first, which will explain how to complete this part of the test.
The video clips feature various types of hazards, such as other vehicles, pedestrians and varying road conditions. You need to respond when you see a hazard developing that may result in the driver having to take some action, such as changing speed or direction. The earlier the developing hazard is spotted, and a response made, the higher the score. You can score up to 5 marks on each hazard and the test contains 15 scaleable hazards. The pass mark is 44 out of 75.
You will be given your results when you have finished both parts of the test
